National Commission for Iraq’s accession to the World Trade Organization held its regular meeting in the office of the Ministry of Commerce to discuss the steps that he arrived to Iraq joining the organization in preparation to fight a third round of negotiations through which it seeks to acquire membership The engineer Mlas Mohammed Abdel-Karim, Minister of Commerce Chairman of the Supreme National Committee to join Iraq that the meeting several topics discussed, notably the measures taken by the ministries and agencies to answer questions World Organization as well as government measures to amend laws and legislation and regulations that are compatible with the World Trade Organization labor laws and in line with the interest that Supreme Iraq and its people.
He said he was at the meeting to present and discuss the most important topics on the agenda, which included a quick presentation on the work of the Commission and the steps and procedures reached by Iraq in the process of accession and ratification of the first file of goods and updated version of the Memorandum of Foreign Trade Regime for Iraq MFTR, and validation as well as on the implementation plan Iraq’s legislative work and to send those files to the WTO Secretariat official translation procedures after them.
He pointed to listen and discuss the proposals in the Commission’s work and the most important not to change the members of the Sub Aagan specialist and a special committee on trade in services to be a member of the committee of specialists in order to accomplish the rest of the file trade in services.

Abdul Karim urged members of the National Committee in the ministries and agencies and members of the committees emanating from the completion of the required files for agriculture file ACC4 SPS SPC especially with respect to the information and paragraphs for the Kurdistan Region, as well as translation of relevant laws by the authorities concerned.
The Committee listened to the measures taken in each ministry in order to comply with the laws of the international organization to complete all questions and prepare their answers in order to ratify it in preparation for the next rounds of negotiation with the World Trade Organization.
