Delena Grace Hogsed Luccas, age 42, of 656 N. Main Ave, Erwin, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
She was a native of Blount County, TN and a daughter of Reverend Ron and Frances Burchfield Hogsed.
Mrs. Luccas was a loving homemaker and a member of Cherokee Mountain Baptist Church of Jonesborough, TN.
In addition to her parents, Delena has left behind to cherish her memories: Husband: Ruben Luccas of Erwin; Stepson: Seth Luccas of Erwin; Brother: “Lee” Hogsed of Johnson City; Special Cousins whom she cherished and loved; Uncles: Paul Hogsed and wife, Sherry of Bean Station, NC, Frank Hogsed and wife, Shirley of Maryville, TN; Aunt: Ellen and Husband David Nelson of Church Hill TN; Dear Special Friend: Jodi Fanning McLaughlin.
A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 6:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Valley Funeral Home.
The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Delena Grace Hogsed Luccas in a funeral service to be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Cherokee Mountain Baptist Church, 108 Cherokee Mountain Road, Jonesborough, TN 37659. Reverend Ron Hogsed and Reverend Kenny Whaley will officiate. A committal service will be held immediately following the funeral service in Cherokee Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers will be her cousins; Dustin Hogsed, Derrick Hogsed, Darin Hogsed, Jeremiah Simpson, Michael Languedoc, and Tomah Shawn Nelson.
